NUST Chip Design Centre (NCDC) is a PSDP funded project with an aim to support and enhance the fabless chip design ecosystem in Pakistan. Situated in NUST H-12 Islamabad, following positions are available for passionate and talented individuals to join the NCDC core team. The ideal candidate will have extensive academic and/or industrial experience in chip design, tape-outs, and leadership roles, with the ability to train, mentor, and lead advanced research in this domain.

Responsibilities:

·         Working collaboratively with academic and industry partners to drive innovation and excellence in chip design and verification.

·         Spearheading research initiatives and fostering partnerships with industry to advance cutting-edge developments in chip design, contributing to the global knowledge base and technology advancements.

·         Leading and overseeing complex chip design projects with the design group, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation.

 

Qualification:

·         PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

  • Working collaboratively with team towards meeting the objectives of NCDC.
  • Building a strong ecosystem for chip-design training that includes teaching, assessments, execution and curriculum design in order to increase the number of highly qualified workers in this field.
  • Overseeing and carrying out chip design tasks with the design group.

HR Manager

(Role: HR & Procurement)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management, to ensure a productive and cohesive work environment.
  • Manage procurement processes as per PPRA rules to meet the organization’s needs efficiently and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Build networks and partnerships nationally and internationally with chip design companies, training centres etc to generate leads for different possible revenue streams.
  • Plan conferences, seminars and other events to draw attention to the centre’s IC design training expertise
  • Create marketing materials, such as presentations, brochures, and web content, to advertise the centre’s training courses across a variety of media.
  • Develop bespoke training programs that are matched to the industry demands by carefully collaborating with them to understand their unique training requirements
  • Work together with internal teams to guarantee that organization’s initiative are carried out smoothly.

Qualification:

  • Mater’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing,Technology Management, Engineering Management, or a related field from a reputable national / international university.
  • Understanding of the industry and market trends relevant to semiconductor ecosystem.

Project Associate (Creative Lead)

Responsibilities:

• Creating and designing engaging graphics for both print and digital media, including brochures, social media content, and advertisements.

• Producing, editing, and enhancing photos and videos for training programs, ensuring high-quality visual content.

• Managing and maintaining the organization’s visual content library, ensuring consistency in branding and image quality.

• Staying updated with design trends, tools, and software to enhance the overall creative output.

Qualification:
